6382 - note to self
Dec. 30th, 2003 09:13 amSkip converting the Ohio newsletter to HTML, wasted enough time on it already. Just slap a PDF up there, and be done with it. Make PDF the Standard from now on, and keep it consistant. When the next Florida and Georgia items go out, convert to PDF as well.

Date: 2003-12-30 09:49 am (UTC)you're one of my favorite journals to read -- and I'm curious how you read your journal. You regularly do that one year ago and three years ago, so, I'm thinking that's one way.
I think the best part about Livejournal for me is being able to read my own journal.

How I read it
Date: 2003-12-30 10:18 am (UTC)I read my journal a few ways... one is the "year steps" that I sometimes link to. I also make use of the memories feature when it occurs to me to do so.
I agree, I like to go back and review where I've been, and see what was going through my head. (There are a few private entries in there for very sensitive stuff, and some writing of rough drafts, but the vast majority is public.)
I recently started numbering my entries, just to see what crops up where. When they make journals truly cross-indexed and totally searchable it will be a banner day for me. I'd like no feature more than that and a true hit-counter to evaluate what's being read (by myself and others)
How fun would it be to see your most read entries? I've got a pretty good idea which one's I go back to read. It'd be nice to see what caused the hit, too. Someone searching for the words "Orange Chinese Feet"? (an actual hit to my webpage.)
The reading of the journal
Date: 2003-12-30 11:46 am (UTC)I'd like to print my entire journal, comments and and all.
Those are the features I'd like, but I like your wish list too.
