hmmmm
Date: 2000-10-15 10:10 pm (UTC)If it's true, then I think it's skating on the thin edge of ethics to tape record a conversation without the other party's knowledge or consent, and then make them available to the public. This is compounded by the fact that the person is assumed to be mentally unstable, so that his problems are being used for the amusement of strangers.
If it's not true, then what's funny about someone pretending to be a crazy drunk guy?
Either way, I'm just not all that comfortable with the idea of laughing at the not-all-there.

He doesn't seem to be mocking anyone in particular, just babbling and being silly on the phone. If he really is mentally unstable, then it's more sad, and not funny at all. That's why I'm unsure how I feel. I'm comfortable laughing at the silly ramblings of a goof... otherwise I'm sort of upset.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that was potentially put off by it.
