8257 - I'd like to stay in bed with the cat, please.

I like hanging out with pirates that enjoy Pink Floyd and smart, pretty girls that wear dragonfly wings. So, why am I bored with the ren-fest?

Chacarron is still stuck in my head, despite my best efforts to purge it with: One Nigh tin Bangkok, The Love Boat Theme, and Old McDonald Had a farm (with butterflies, paramecium and giraffes)

I am in league with Xenu, in exchange for his dark powers, and cool space lear jet. Also, I like to make underlings dump water on their heads.

Condo Commando meeting last night gave me brain drain, but the day at work went well. Busy, but positive. CCM was a lot of old people talking loudly and not listening to each other. Got Kudos at work, as did ECN for fine performance on call, and handling weird situations.

160 gig drive finally showed up, so the big brain drama is officially over. Started Nov. 10, 2005 - Ended March 20, 2006. Rest in peace.

For what it's worth, here are the names of the devices on my network:

Point - (PDA)
Circle - (Lappie)
Sphere - (Frankenbox / Newtcam server)
Buckyball - Newest device.

Moment of Lyric (mp3)

I keep on fear, keep on loathing
Nothing brings it on I keep on falling
Decide what it is I can not find
It's subsides what you make it
Never feel like you're gonna break it
It's gonna be all right all right
Sleep until the morning comes
The sun will warm your soul
Sleep until the morning comes for you
'Til the morning it's all right
I can walk into the sunlight, into the day, into the day, to the day
I feel it falling, nothing comes to my mind
Bring it on in a different tide
I feel all right, all right
I feel strong, I feel rigid
It's nothing to do with the vision
Oh feels so right, so right
Sleep on tight, sleep on tight
Sleep until the sunlight
Sleep until sunlight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight
Sleep on tight, 'til the sunlight
Sleep on tight, 'til the sunlight burns you happy
'Til the sunlight burns you happy, till the sunlight burns a happy hole in
Your heart,
In your heart
In your heart...

Fairly accurate results for an online quiz, even though I did want a third more middling choice a few times. And I remember back when I when I was likely more liberal than you on most issues.

I'm still all across the board when it comes to political stance, but I agree that I'm a lot more libreal than I was a decade or so ago.

Like we've talked about before.. I think that 2 years mandatory military service is a good idea, and that's not exactly pinko. :)

That comic cut reminds me of an old Hulk story I read, where Hulk's shadow was possessed by some alien entity and it attacked him but he could never hurt it (its a shadow after all). In the end Hulk destroyed the entity by jumping into the middle of a floodlit football stadium where the lights were so bright he didn't have a shadow.

I think I know that story!

[identity profile] eryx-uk.livejournal.com 2006-03-21 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I had the story in a Hulk annual back in about 83-84. Also had a story with the Leader and his flying vacuum cleaner ship.

One of my favorite old hulk stories had him fighting the absorbing man on a construction site, and they were both falling to certain doom... AM laughed and grabbed out to touch something to take the characteristics from to save himself, and tagged glass, right before impact.

I love it when the villian shatters into a gazillion pieces.

LOL! It is the Marvel universe so I'm sure he somehow recovered to bother people again. Heh.

yup.. he slowly worked out how to reform himself. (not unlike other well-disbursed baddies, like sandman or hydro-man.)

Good old Crusher Creel always getting tricked into touching something fragile. If he had half a brain he'd be dangerous.

[identity profile] scottobear.livejournal.com 2006-03-21 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, Creel! I've got a tray of rice crispie treats and peanut brittle... want one?

The Incredible Hulk #209: The three figures in the shadow transport the Absorbing Man back to the city so he can follow Bruce. Bruce gets a job on a construction site and that is where Creel attacks. Creel tells Bruce to change into the Hulk but Bruce pretends to not know what he is talking about. Creel forces Bruce to fall off the building. Bruce changes into the Hulk before he hits the ground and the two fight in the building. Creel turns into concrete and has the Hulk on the robes until the Hulk hits the floor, causing the building to collapse. During the fall, Creel boasts that he will just grab ahold of something and survive the fall. He reaches out and the first thing he touches is glass and he breaks to pieces as he hits the ground. The Hulk easily survives the fall.

Thanks so much for that Chacarron link. Oh I knew better than to click on, but did that stop me, no of course it didn’t, so I went and did it anyway, now that infernal mumbling thing is stuck in my friggen head.

Its some maddening combination of rap and the rambling muble of someone with blunt head trauma.

OK so I just ran out to the grocery store to pick up a few things and I’m standing in the express lane, quietly muttering the tune to myself, only half-aware I’m doing it out loud, when I notice the guy in front of me sorta glance back timidly at me, like he was afraid to look behind him but just had to risk a glance, when he notices that I have noticed him looking he snaps back to looking forward.
The mean guy in me was tempted to suddenly start singing loudly while doing some crazy stomping-cartoon-native war dance around him.
