8783- 300. what-ev'.

Sooo... I saw 300 with BHK and Tina.

Long story short - I was bored by the movie.

It was a gladiator movie with some nifty visuals... but I feel that maybe I should've read the comic first for more appreciation of transfer of scenes to film.

Not sure what I was expecting, but I really got a general sense of ho-hum from the whole thing... I wasn't engaged at all by the story. Some nifty phalanx action, but that's about it. I can't get into the high speed / slow mo combat stylings.

Had supper at Chevy's - they serve a mountian of food. Not bad, though the Mexico has a better selection of veggie options.

"I was bored by the movie"

Wowee, you're the first person I've heard say that. I've had a feeling it will bore me, too.

I also don't like blood all over the place. I imagine 300 will be like what watching Saving Private Ryan was for me....eyes shut 50% of the time.

It takes a lot to bore me, too! I suspect that I was expecting more or just something different than what I got - It had all sorts of things I should really get into, at least on a superfical level.. cool costumes, mutants, elepants, fights and war.. not to mention the occasional nekkidness of pretty people, too.

but it was a meh for me, despite it.

Sorry you were bored with 300, Scotto. Perhaps you would have been more engaged if you had seen 1 through 299. Personally, I am looking forward to the sequel, but I don't know if it will be called 301 or 300 2.

me too... that's ok, I bet 300-2: electric boogaloo will be so much more!

i liked 300, but i fully admit it may be because of the nakedness of the 300. it got me hot.. under the collar. yup, the collar. that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

I rather liked it, but I can see not, I went in with low expectations so that might of helped and like I said the preponderance of bombastic speeches was little hard to sit through at times.

I think that I was just expecting something else... even if I'm not sure *what* I was expecting.

Just not that.

coolio fights, and some angles/whatnot, but it just didn't hook me in.

Yeah it is.

I think my favorite is "Tonight We Dine in Hell, Tomorrow I'm Thinking Arby's"
