Loki is pretty nifty. Surprisingly, it doesn't use win2k, only XP sp 1 and greater, but there is a beta for both MSIE and Mozilla, and seems especially useful for laptop or mobile computer users. Lots of nifty local items to check out. It tries to workout where you are and then gives you various tools for doing stuff with that knowledge, including inserting geoTags to any form that takes an input. Unfortunately, Shopping links to already dead cairo.

Busy day at work today - fund raiser and setup for the golf tourney will stretch our staff quite a bit. Going to be a skeleton crew. Got an abduction call out of Collier County last night.

33 questions

1) Who is the last person you high-fived?
Not sure... either Rosangel or Gabby at work. Some sort of little victory, but it wasn't sarcastic.

2) If you were drafted into a war, would you survive?
I doubt that I'd make it through boot without getting 4F. So, I'd probably survive, since I wouldn't have to fight on the front lines.

Sure... I'm a bachelor. everything in my house is fair game, unless I'm saving it for a guest.

5) Have you ever won a spelling bee?
Nope... I've done well in them, but never had a total victory. I don't remember any of the words I missed, but I don't much care for spelling bees. I prefer debate, or other mental bloodsports.

6) Have you ever been stung by a bee?
Yup! I can still picture the ripped out stinger pumping venom into my foot. Glad I'm not allergic!

I mockingly knock my forehead.

12) Do you floss daily?
No but I really should.

14) Can you hula hoop?
I used to be ok at it, but I'm not sure how well I'd do theses days. I suspect poorly.

15) Are you good at keeping secrets?
Depends on the secret. I make my own judgment calls. best kept secret is one not told to anyone, including me.

16) What do you want for Christmas?
Peace, Love and happiness for all that spread the same

17) Do you talk in your sleep?
Sometimes. I mumble, converse, and have on occasion yelled.

18) Who wrote the book of love?
Elvis Costello... or the Monotones.

19) Have you ever flown a kite?
Last Time I remember flying a kite was with Dan and April sometime in 2000, but I'm pretty sure I have since then. I had an awesome stunt kite that was lost when I lefe no-noes maldanado's place.

Things seen to and from work yesterday -

busstoppredawn
Waiting for the sun to come up at the bus stop en route to work.
Time change returned the walk to in the dark.

worktree
The tree on the road island outside my office.
Green again, but still not as lush as it once was.

regrowth
Regrowth on the tree right outside my office window. That was a pleasant sight during lunch.
I'm too jaded.. I think it looks a bit like a triffid.

Thank you!

See, taking out the trash is a dangerous task!

Of course, I was goofing around, swinging the bag and singing the godzilla cartoon theme when I got my gash.

Yes. That is a triffid.

Definately looks like one from the old BBC tv serial of Day of the Triffids.
