Just found my tax paperwork for 1992. (Sakes... This folder has been through some tough times for me)

I made $11,009.83 that year. (I was polishing off my degree, working at a nearby bookstore)

About $211 a week. ( I was making about $5.75 an hour, before taxes) Is that even minimum wage anymore?

It's only just barely minimum wage in some areas. The national minimum is listed at $6.00 per hour, so you were "making some money" for part time work back then. *smile*

Keen... I do remember working 40 hour weeks at part-time wages... overtime must've saved me. :)

I wasn't making too much more than you back then, tending bar and including my tips.. I think I broke about $16,000.00 that year after the required payouts at the bar, then my taxes. That was part time as well. I can't imagine what I would have made if I had been working full time! I was only working 25 hours a week back then.

Maybe it is... (I know minimum wage rules vary by job.... you can have waitstaff work for *nothing* and tips!)

That's quite true! In Denver they are paying about $3.00 an hour plus tips for floor staff and bar staff gets about 25 cents more.
I know it varies by region. Here the going low is at $5.75, standard at the national claim.
