The Dangers of reading.

A few years ago, I fell asleep reading a new book with my shirt off... when the book dropped, I got a paper cut across my nipple. Needless to say, I woke up quickly... it took me a long time in my freshly induced adrenaline tweak to figure out what happened. I jumped around like daffy duck."woo woo woo woo"....Trust me. The last thing you want to see is a grown man hopping around in his boxers covering his left nipple and yelping at three in the morning (well, I guess it depends on the person, and the situation... actually. never mind)

I don't know what inspired me to share, but there you go.

Nope! I'm just a whole lot more careful to put the book down. Trust me, you remember these things, after the lesson has been learned.

you know, i sometimes roll over on my mipple wrong and either snag my barbell, or twist it, or pinch it or something, but it has the same effect. of coures, i live on the top bunk, so i don't hop around, i just sit up gasping in agony and clutching my breast until the pain stops. it's even worse when i'm sleeping naked after sex. my partner tends to randomly grope me in her sleep, and it scares the bejeezus out of me.

that's all. just thought i'd share. : )

not usually, it's just that when she gropes in her sleep, she doesn't pay attention to how she's groping and sometimes twists it.

oh no, not at all. if it was, i would have taken them out months ago. for the first couple months gropage was fairly painful, but that good, orgasmic kind of painful. now, just the slightest brush and i'm instantly aroused. it's great. well... sometimes... but i've had it used against me, like in public places and times when i can't have sex. so that sucks, but mostly it's very nice. especially since i hardly had any feeling in them at all before i got them pierced.

cringes at the thought...no reading in bed for me anymore

I dunno, I was always safe, somehow. You know, in ninth grade, toward the end of the year, my english teacher assigned us to read Beloved. A chapter a night. I never made it through, I'd fall asleep, book fell behind the bed, wake up to my alarm blaring and the light still on. Someday, I'm gonna buy that damned book and finish it.

It's the only book that ever did that to me. It was good, but . . . eesh.

I'm guilty of reading myself to snooze fairly often. Very soothing, as long as the story doesn't grab me by the short hairs. :)

Beloved is really the only book that's ever done that to me. Other times, I sometimes get drowsy, and either do something else til I'm not anymore, or sleep. Still dunno how that book ends, too . . .

Reminds me of the time I'd just finished shaving my legs in the shower and was shaking the water out of my razor before putting the cover back on it. In the case of nipples, there is no such thing as "just a scratch." I yelped and my then-boyfriend ran in and asked me what happened -- I told him I'd almost sliced my boob off with my Bic. An overexaggeration for sure, but that's what it seemed like!
