Lame flat canals are fun too--I dunno if you can see from the map but there is a channel leading marsh that goes back 4 miles (maybe) from the bay past our house---that's my "lame flat canal"---and I like it--lots and lots of wildlife---I take newbies I'm teaching that way.

I suppose rowing rather than motoring is ok ;P

But you can't play pirates with a motor--just doesn't work!
