Straight dope is a wonderful place for that sort of thing. Language and thought link things otgether in somereally amazing ways... I frequently suspect that folks that know two or more unrelated languages fluently probably have a leg up on lingaual soloists perception-wise.

Heck, the mind is amazing.. but I'm easily impressed... the human circulatory system is astounding to me.
