GeotargetCompUSA had nobody available to take my call today, apparently all of the technicians of management level were "at a meeting in Miami" and were not available. They will supposedly be available today. Just passed the 10 week anniversary of getting the power back on at my old apartment, and discovering Big Brain's disability on Tuesday... another week and a half, and it will be an entire quarter year (season, whatnot) since bringing it in.

CompUSA is now equal to Comcast's Broward county service level, which is to say, a hair's breadth from nil.

The compound (not to be confused with a two-stage) rescue-line rocket is a very cool piece of old west [circa 1865] tech. A tethered rocket you could shoot accurately at a ship that was sinking about a mile away and use to reel folks or even the boat to safety is pretty dang awesome, and something I knew nothing about until yesterday. Good day for a trivia upgrade. (They also had combat rockets that could either act as a nasty missile on it's own, too, but not nearly as spiffy as the rescue.) Additionally, angled fins around the thrust putsa spin on the rocket, stabilizing it, and improving accuracy.

They managed to ignite the workshop, and the explosion melted two cameras, the protective shielding and set a hovercraft on fire.

Good quote about patience. "This is one of the dangers, when nothing happens. When nothing happens for a while, everyone is like: 'Well, let's get closer. Let's get closer. Let's get closer.' BOOM! And everyone's dead."

Other recently confirmed side issue - "Bulletproof water" and how poorly the high-powered rifles did. The full metal jacket bullets for the high-powered rifles came apart upon hitting the water and the .50 caliber rifle was only able to penetrate about 3 ft of water.

The first thing that I thought of was "Dang, when I was playing Zero, he didn't have nearly enough Armor!" Zero was a misfit GURPS superhero that was basically intelligent, cohesive water that could skin himself with an animated ice shell to manipulate things. I still have my gaming notes for him and a bunch of other stuff on my bookshelf. Graypumpkin was the GM, and Kat played "Spring", a sort of loony blend of Tigger, the Creeper, and Mysterio.

Still getting a lot of links from that Spidey clip, including a journal from the Netherlands.

Sorry to hear your continued problems CompUSA but sadly when it comes to electronics stores in Fl it's about par for the course. I remember having some knock-down-drag-outs with Sound Advice back in my teens.

HHH! Alphabetically before justice League in the phone book. :)

Compusa told me that they *still* don't have a tracking number, and that the main man isn't in today. I'm fairly exasperated at this point.

Unsound Advice stereo of doom!

What did Pam's character want to call it? Tough Baloney? I don't remember her character.. not sure if that was the shadow-controller or a different one.

She should be commended for playing a mute in a game.... I really didn't think it could be done before then.

Yup Tough Baloney! We're not the Justice League.
Pam was Minglegrin telporter with a teleport other on objects; she'd strip folks of guns and their clothes, clothes were a favorite with her though that usually meant you just had to fight some ticked off naked guy.

Yes, some of those naked villian fights were most unsavory.

I don't remember any especially upsetting naked villians.... save for the fact of course that... they were naked, and still wanted to fight.
